Accessibility Advisory Committee

Serve in an advisory capacity to increase public awareness of the Accessibility Plan. to identify, remove and prevent barriers for future and continued accessibility.  The majority of the members of the Committee must be persons with disabilities. 

Economic Development Committee

The mandate of the Committee is to foster, promote and support Economic Development initiatives at the direction of Council and the community.  The goals and objectives are to stimulate business acquisition, retention and growth in the priority sectors of retail and commercial development, agriculture, tourism, manufacturing and health and wellness.

Hastings Hydro Management Committee

Serve as an advisory committee to review applications for the purpose of recommending to Council plans for the hydro reserve fund which is to be for the benefit of the ratepayers of the former Village of Hastings.

Hastings Downtown & Waterfront Improvement Advisory

An advisory commitee with respect to management of the Waterfront and Downtown Design Improvement Plan which would incorporate the current marina facilities and any future capital additions or improvements.

Agriculture and Rural Issues Committee

The Rural Issues/Agricultural Advisory Committee is made up of the agricultural and farming sectors to advise Council on issues relating to farming and preservation and enhancement of the agricultural sector.  The Committee deal with issues such as nutrient management, preservation of agricultural land and value added uses such as agri-tourism.  They also advise Council on rural and agricultural issues at the provincial, federal and international level.  The Committee also comments on applications for consent, minor variance, rezoning, etc. affecting lands in the rural and prime agricultural areas where they may have an impact on farming.

Trent Hills Heritage Advisory Committee

The Heritage Committee works to provide and prepare the criteria for the evaluation of properties of architectural/historical value (or cultural heritage); to increase public awareness of heritage conservancy; prepare a yearly report of activities and to keep the register of historic properties up to date.  The Committee advises and assists Council on all matters relating to buildings and areas of cultural heritage value and in regard to cultural heritage resources. 

Warkworth Revitalization Advisory Committee

The Committee is responsble for identifying projects and providing community input and recommendations to Council regarding the upgrade and revitalization of the Village of Warkworth.

The Committee of Adjustment meets monthly to discuss and approve or deny severance applications and minor variances.

Property Standards Appeal Committee

The Property Standards Committee meets on an as-needed basis to hear appeals involving orders issued against an owner due to the standard or condition of a property.

Trent Hills Community Policing Committee (including the Campbellford/Seymour Community Policing, Warkworth Community Policing and Hastings Community Policing sub-committees)

This hard working group of volunteers working in conjunction with the local police detachment to make our community a safe place to live.  They assist with the DARE program in schools, assist with traffic control at community functions, conduct fund raising events along with many other activities.  There are three sub-committees, one located in each community ward.

Police Services Board

The Police Services Board is a five member board consisting of (2) two Council Members, (1) one Community Representative and (2) two Provincially appointed Representatives.  The Board meets as required and works with the Ontario Provincial Police in setting up policing priorities for the Municipality.

Public Library Board

The Public Library Board is set in place in accordance with the Library Services Act that consists of three (3) Council members, four (4) appointed community representatives who set up policies and priorities for our three public libraries located in Campbellford, Hastings and Warkworth.

Friends of the Trent Hills Cemetery
