The purpose and effect of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to recognize the creation of two (2) new parcels, being the severed portion of Severance Consent Application B24/2020, being approximately 2.0 (vacant land) and Severance Consent Application B25/2020, being approximately 2.0 acres (vacant land). The current zoning of the subject lands is Rural and Environmentally Sensitive. The proposed zoning for Severance Consent Applications B24/2020 and B25/2020 will be Rural Residential. The zoning for the retained portion, being approximately 9 acres (vacant land) will be Rural Exception. The Exception to the Rural Zoning will acknowledge the reduced lot size within the Rural Zone. All Environmentally Sensitive zoning will remain in place.

The initial Public Hearing is held in accordance with the requirements of the Planning Act. The purpose of the meeting is for Council Members to formally hear and receive public and agency comments. The intent of this statutory Public Hearing is to receive public feedback and incorporate it into a recommendation report from Staff. No decision will be made during this meeting.
