Zoning Amendment Application C11/2021 - Sifton Properties Limited

An application has been received to rezone lots in the next phase of the Haven on the Trent Subdivision. A concurrent application to reconfigure the lots from 15 parcels with 20 to 25 meters of frontage, to 23 lots with 16 to 19 meters of frontage, has been considered separately by Council.

The current zoning on the subject lands is Shoreline Residential and Environmental Protection. The proposed zoning for the subject lands is Residential 1 Exception 7 (R1-7), and Environmental Protection. The R1-7 Zoning will recognize the new lot dimensions, as well as to acknowledge these lots are fully serviced by municipal services. The Environmental Protection Zone will protect the wooded hillside at the rear of the subject lots.


The initial Public Meeting is held in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Act. The purpose of the meeting is for Council Members to formally hear and receive public and agency comments. The intent of this statutory Public Meeting is to receive public feedback and incorporate it into a recommendation report from Staff. No decision will be made during this meeting.
