Crowe Bridge Park Closed for 2021

Posted On Monday April 12, 2021

Crowe Bridge Park will remain closed for the 2021 season.  This decision was made by Trent Hills Council with the safety of residents and visitors in mind.

The Municipality of Trent Hills operates Crowe Bridge Park on behalf of the Crowe Valley Conservation Authority (CVCA).  While the Park is closed this summer, the CVCA will be completing a detailed inspection of the weir dam to determine its condition.

The necessity to complete this inspection report, the experience of overcrowding from last season and the rising COVID-19 cases has led to the decision to keep the Park closed to the public for the 2021 season.

Mayor Crate states “We recognize that the closure will be a disappointment to many, but with the required work at the site, as well as the overwhelming popularity, this was the difficult choice that had to be made.  We ask that everyone respect the closure and barriers that will be in place.”

Crowe Bridge Park closure will be strictly enforced.  The area will be well signed, prohibiting entry, and By-law enforcement will be making regular patrols to ensure compliance.
