Appointment of Clerk

The Municipality of Trent Hills is pleased to welcome Jessica Polley as our new Clerk. Jessica will start with the municipality on Monday, July 13th, 2026.

Jessica joins us from the Municipality of Brighton, where she most recently served as Deputy Clerk. She brings valuable municipal experience along with a strong foundation in municipal governance, Council administration, and legislative processes. Jessica has also demonstrated a strong commitment to professional development, completing extensive training through the Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario (AMCTO) in areas including municipal law, governance, parliamentary procedure, finance, and human resources, in addition to completing studies in Public Administration at Seneca Polytechnic, graduating with High Honours.

We are confident Jessica will be a tremendous addition to our organization, and we look forward to the knowledge, leadership, and perspective she will bring in supporting Council, staff, and the community.

Land Acknowledgement

We recognize the traditional keepers of this land and, specifically our neighbours of the Alderville First Nation, with a formal territorial acknowledgement.

Welcome to the Gunshot Treaty Lands of 1788. It is on these lands and on the shores of the big lake, the Mississauga Anishinabeg met with the Crown to facilitate the opening of these lands for
settlement.

Let us be reminded of the responsibility we all have in making sure that we respect these lands and waters that give us life and sustain our livelihoods.
