Sign Permits

Are you updating or adding a new sign to your business?

If the sign is permanent, you must first submit an Application for a Permit to Construct or Demolish, along with a site plan and drawings, to the Building Permit Department or via the new Citywide Portal.

If the sign is temporary, you must first apply for a sign permit

This ensures that the sign meets our by-law requirements and is safely installed to prevent accidents and liability.

Check whether your signage project is eligible for funding support through the Community Improvement Plan.

Land Acknowledgement

We recognize the traditional keepers of this land and, specifically our neighbours of the Alderville First Nation, with a formal territorial acknowledgement.

Welcome to the Gunshot Treaty Lands of 1788. It is on these lands and on the shores of the big lake, the Mississauga Anishinabeg met with the Crown to facilitate the opening of these lands for
settlement.

Let us be reminded of the responsibility we all have in making sure that we respect these lands and waters that give us life and sustain our livelihoods.
