The Municipality of Trent Hills proclaims September as FASD Awareness Month & September 9th as FASD Awareness Day
The Municipality of Trent Hills is proud to proclaim September 2026 as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Month and September 9, 2026 as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Awareness Day.
On September 9, the Clock Tower in Campbellford will join landmarks across Canada in lighting up red in recognition of #FASDMonth and to help raise awareness of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.
FASD is a lifelong disability caused by prenatal alcohol exposure. Increasing awareness and understanding helps build more inclusive, supportive communities for individuals and families affected by FASD.
We encourage residents to join us in shining a light on FASD and supporting greater awareness, understanding, and acceptance.
