Appointment of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)

The Municipality of Trent Hills is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Frigault as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), effective December 1, 2025.

With over 25 years of experience in municipal leadership and public administration, Karen brings deep organizational knowledge, collaborative leadership, strong strategic insight, and a proven commitment to serving the community. During her time with Trent Hills, she has helped strengthen cross-departmental collaboration, advanced governance processes, and supported a workplace culture grounded in professionalism, collaboration, and accountability.

“Council is pleased to appoint Karen to the role of Chief Administrative Officer. Her extensive experience, steady leadership style, and dedication to our community make her well-positioned to guide the Municipality through the next phase of its growth and development. We look forward to working with her in this new capacity,” said Mayor Bob Crate.

“I am honoured by Council’s confidence and grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the community in this new role. I am committed to supporting Council, working collaboratively with staff, and building on the strong foundation that has been established. It is a privilege to be part of this organization, and I look forward to contributing to Trent Hills’ continued success,” said Karen Frigault.

As CAO, Karen will lead the Municipality’s administrative operations, support Council in advancing its strategic priorities, and ensure the continued delivery of effective and responsive municipal services.

Council congratulates Karen on her appointment and looks forward to her leadership in this role.

Welcome to the Gunshot Treaty Lands of 1788. It is on these lands and on the shores of the big lake, the Mississauga Anishinabeg met with the Crown to facilitate the opening of these lands for
settlement.

Let us be reminded of the responsibility we all have in making sure that we respect these lands and waters that give us life and sustain our livelihoods.
