The Municipality of Trent Hills proclaims October 23. 2025 as Water & Wastewater & Stormwater Operators Appreciation Day
Whereas, Water, Wastewater & Stormwater Operators are essential to long-term, sustainable access
to safe and reliable drinking water in our communities.
Whereas, their work is vital to the health and safety of our communities.
They are responsible for monitoring the operation of water systems and facilities, conducting routine
maintenance, adjusting treatment processes, identifying and addressing equipment issues, ensuring
that the water quality meets or exceeds legislative guidelines and ensures the distribution of clean, safe
and reliable drinking water.
Whereas, Wastewater Operators are essential to communities to provide citizens with the monitoring
and treatment of wastewater.
Whereas, their work is vital to ensuring reliable wastewater conveyance and treatment by operating
wastewater facilities and equipment to purify and treat wastewater, and to dispose of sewage by
cleaning and maintaining collection systems, facilities, equipment, tanks, filter beds and other work
areas.
Now, therefore, the Municipality of Trent Hills proclaims October 23rd as Water & Wastewater & Stormwater Operators Appreciation Day.
