The Municipality of Trent Hills enforces our by-laws to ensure the health and safety of our community.

Class 1 violations

Class 1 violations are when public health and safety are at risk or when property damage is possible. Class 1 violations are considered the most important. We enforce them as soon as possible.

Examples of Class 1 violations:

  • Unfenced swimming pools
  • Property standards health and safety concerns
  • Unsafe or faulty stairs/floors
  • Dog attacks

Class 2 and Class 3 violations

Class 2 and Class 3 violations do not pose an immediate hazard to people or property.

Examples Class 2 and Class 3 violations:

  • Zoning infractions
  • Long grass, weeds, and yard maintenance issues
  • Garbage or rubbish on properties
  • Abandoned or inoperative vehicles

Graffiti

Report graffiti to the Ontario Provincial Police by contacting them at 1-888-310-1122.

If you're witnessing the crime in progress, call 911 and give them a description of the individual. If you would like to remain anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-461-6555.
