Committee Applications Extended to February 22, 2019

The Municipality of Trent Hills is inviting applications from individuals who wish to be considered for appointment to the following committees for a term ending in 2022.

Applications may be submitted online, or picked up and submitted at the Municipal Office.

The deadline for applications for the following Committees has been extended to 4:00 pm on Friday, February 22, 2019.

Accessbility Advisory Committee

To promote equal opportunity and access for all persons, regardless of needs in order that all persons may participate as fully as possible in all aspects of community life in Trent Hills.  The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act provides that the majority of the members shall include persons with disabilities.  The committee will meet at least twice per year, in April and October.  Five (5) individuals will be appointed.

Hastings Hydro Reserve Advisory Committee 

To review applications for funding from the Hastings Hydro Reserve fund and make recommendation to Council on the applications.  The committee will meet as required to review applications for funding.  Three (3) individuals will be appointed.

Heritage Advisory Committee 

To advise and assist in matters related to cultural heritage resource conservation including public awareness of heritage, heritage planning and Heritage Act designation located within Trent Hills.  The committee will meet five (5) times per year, with no meetings in July or August.  Five (5) individuals will be appointed.

Community Development Advisory Committee

To advise and assist in matters related to community development, economic development and downtown revitalization.  To achieve balance and diversity within the member, consideration may include backgrounds in: Agriculture; Business and/or Revitalization Associations; Chamber of Commerce; and Community Service Organizations.  The committee will meet four (4) times per year.  Seven (7) individuals will be appointed.

Police Services Board Opening

The deadline for applications for the Police Services Board is 4:00 pm on Friday, March 1, 2019.

If you have an interest in community safety and policing priorities, we invite you to consider serving on the Trent Hills’ Police Services Board which receives information from the Ontario Provincial Police and makes recommendations to Council.

The Police Services Board meets a minimum of 4 times per year on the 4th Tuesday of the month, at 9:00 a.m. in Campbellford. One (1) individual will be appointed.
