The Municipal Emergency Management Program works to prepare our community for emergencies and disasters through the development of The Municipality of Trent Hills Emergency Plan, hazard identification and support plans, training programs, emergency exercises as well as public education and awareness.

The Ontario Municipal Fire Prevention Officers' Association has helpful tips and information about fire prevention and fire safety.

The aim of the plan is to protect the safety and welfare of the residents of Trent Hills from the effects of a natural, technological or human caused emergency.

In Ontario there four levels of emergency preparedness, beginning with the individual and progressing through the municipal, provincial and federal levels of government.  You and your family should be prepared to be self-sufficient for a period of 72 hours in the event of an emergency.  Those whom are not prepared to manage an emergency can see their lives seriously impacted when one does occur; to those that are prepared, it can be just an inconvenience.  Emergency preparedness begins with you.
